Start from a structured record — not a cold call to a former manager.
VouchMe lets recruiters request access to a candidate's completed reference records, so reference checking starts from structured, already-captured references instead of chasing former managers from scratch.
The reference check problem
Average time to fill a role. Reference delays routinely extend that window.
Time spent per reference check when coordinating phone calls across time zones.
Of reference calls happen after hours because that's when referees are available.
Reference checking is slow not because the information doesn't exist — it's because every recruiter has to chase it independently from scratch. VouchMe captures it once and makes it available on demand.
How the request-access flow works
Candidate has a completed reference
The candidate has already requested and received a structured reference from a former colleague through VouchMe.
Recruiter submits an access request
The recruiter sends an access request for the candidate's reference record. The referee is notified.
Referee approves or declines
The referee controls release. If they approve, the recruiter receives time-limited access to the completed reference.
Recruiter reviews the structured record
The recruiter reads the structured answers and listens to any audio clips — no scheduling, no phone tag.
What VouchMe complements — and what it doesn't replace
VouchMe gives recruiters structured, consent-governed reference records from people who have worked with the candidate. It is a complement to due diligence, not a replacement for it.

Candidates bring their references. You request access.
The candidate shares the Vouch link. The referee approves the release. Everyone knows where the information comes from.

- How does VouchMe help recruiters check references faster?
- VouchMe lets recruiters request access to a candidate's completed reference records, so reference checking starts from structured, already-captured references instead of chasing former managers from scratch. When the referee approves the request, the recruiter gets time-limited access to a structured record that includes the referee's answers and any audio clips.
- Who controls whether a recruiter can access a reference?
- The referee controls release. A recruiter submits an access request, and the referee who provided the reference decides whether to approve or decline it. The referee can also revoke the entire reference at any time.
- Is this a background check or employment verification service?
- No. VouchMe records spoken and written endorsements from people who have worked with the candidate. It does not verify employment dates, check criminal records, or confirm identity. It complements due diligence rather than replacing it.
- What does a recruiter actually receive when access is approved?
- The recruiter receives time-limited access to the structured reference record: the referee's written answers to guided questions, any audio clips they recorded, the role context the candidate provided, and the timestamp of when the reference was completed.
